Double Blueberry Pie
Try this double blueberry pie recipe. This pie combines fresh or frozen blueberries with a jam and either frozen or homemade pie shell to create a fast, super berry packed open top pie. – Courtesy of the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council
- 1 homemade or frozen pie shell (9 inch)
- 1 10 ounce jar blueberry jam or fruit spread
- 1/4 teasp cinammon (ground)
- 4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- Sweetened whip cream or ice cream (as needed for serving)
- Follow package or recipe directions, prebake pie shell
- Cool pie shell
- In a microwaveable dish, combine blueberry jam and cinnamon
- Microwave on high until mixture liquefies, about 1minute
- Stir in fresh blueberries
- Spoon blueberry mixture into prepared shell
- Chill filled pie
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
