Across southeastern North Carolina the blueberry harvest has begun! This bodes well for blueberry lovers across the region! Most of the berries will be destined for grocery stores, but past history suggests the North Carolina Blueberry Festival in Burgaw on June 15, 2013 will feature fresh local blueberries. There is a chance that some of the local farm stands and farmers markets will begin to see local North Carolina Blueberries start to appear around the region.
