Delicious North Carolina Blueberry Overnight Oatmeal! Make before bed for a delicious breakfast treat!
Blueberry Overnight Oatmeal
Delicious, easy to make Blueberry Overnight Oatmeal that can be prepared the night before! Although this version was made in glass canning jars, We’d recommend your favorite plastic storage container. This is to make taking your overnight oatmeal with you as well as safety during the vigorous shaking that mixes the ingredients during the final stage of preparation.
The recipe below was refined and tested in the secret kitchen lab of the North Carolina Blueberry Council
- 2/3 cup old fashioned oatmeal
- 2/3 cup plain greek yogurt
- 2/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (substitute your favorite milk or milk substitution)
- 4 tbsp fresh, frozen or dried blueberries
- 2 tbsp pecans (substitute hemp seeds for added protien)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- dash salt
- 1/2 tsp real vanilla extract (optional)
- Prep the night before! Put all the ingredients in your container of choice Allow a little room for expansion.
- Snap or screw lid on. Be sure it is tight because next you will vigorously shake ingredients to mix.
- Store in refrigerator.
