Instructions
  1. Puree berries in a blender, adding some of the water if more liquid is needed
  2. Combine blueberries, remaining water and sugar in a large heavy saucepan.
  3. Heat mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until liquid comes to a boil.
  4. Lower temperature and simmer, uncovered about 10 minutes until the mixture is translucent.
  5. Remove pan from heat.
  6. Press blueberry mixture through a strainer with the back of a spoon.
  7. Add corn syrup and stir.
  8. If desired, add lemon juice to taste.
  9. Serve hot over pancakes, french toast, pound cake or ice cream!
